Handcrafted Ceramic Pot - Petal Series

Drawing inspiration from nature and the natural world, this ceramic pot is part of my current body of work exploring water drop shapes and petal motifs. The pot’s soft, curving silhouette is paired with a unique, hand-painted glaze application, creating a dynamic interplay of translucence and opacity. Each petal is carefully painted, its length and shape placesd to complement the pot’s form. Negative space and asymmetry further enhance the organic, natural feel of the piece, evoking the elegance of petals on a flower.

Crafted from speckled clay, the translucent glaze allows the raw beauty of the material to shine through, offering a glimpse of its earthy texture. While the glaze is food safe, this piece is best suited for planting- either real greenery or one of my handmade felt plants!

Measuring 5” in diameter and 4” tall, this pot is both an artistic statement and a nod to the serenity of the natural world, and stands as a testament to the balance between design and spontaneity, form and function.
